The undelivered guns were completed by Colts CUSTOM WORKS and sold in various configurations this one has the Royal deep blue and covered cylinder ejection rod and cylinder release purportedly with 56 grams of 24-karat gold overlay.The original papers are included as well, being the owner's manual, warranty card, "Colt companion" and service center information. The revolver features the familiar checkered walnut Detective Special grips numbered in ink pen on the inside "5", the grips rate excellent showing all their factory varnish.Comes with the original packing ,carton and COLT CUSTOM WORKS lable showing serial # P99XXX and original P.O# This is a 1 of a couple of hundred max that may have been sold and would be a rare unique addition to any collection. Never fired.
